Period 1: We are working hard on Number Puzzles to finish off the year with challenging fun. Students request these 10 clues to reach a certain number. They receive points on identifying the number on the right clue, if they find the number too soon, it's a guess; there's more than one possible correct answer. If they answer if after the given clue, the puzzle becomes too easy so they earn only 1 point.
We're wrapping up lessons 8, 9, and 10 this week on surface area and volume. The Chapter 9 test is Friday, March 29th. We're moving into Chapter 7 on Monday and here are the Menu projects to choose from, if you'd like to start challenging yourselves.
Period 3: Students have been working hard on placement tests, unit 9 geometry test and IXL skills on Fraction Review. We are looking forward to having the Fraction Assessment behind us to work on some fun Recipes with Fractions in the coming weeks. I will be posting what ingredients we'll need to bring in for homework.
Thanks for encouraging your kids to take advantage of enrichment time and after school extra math help on Wednesdays. As always, Tenmarks and IXL are helpful ways to practice skills from home.
