Students are working on their American Revolution Menu Projects. Ask to see their menu table and rubric if you're unsure what this is. Some students have shared two projects by now! Others have shared their first project and are working on their Battles activity to share on Thursday or Friday. Students had class time today.
Also, the classes have been divided into two groups: Patriots and Loyalists. We are having class time this week to work on our questions and persuasive answers to discuss verbally on Friday, if both sides are ready.
We are also reading short stories that are related to the Revolutionary War. The first one was called a Battle of Loyalties. The two brothers are divided and students were able to see their passion and conflict. We are learning how to identify the author's message or theme of the story and provide evidence. We will continue our study during class and enrichment time for the next 2 1/2 weeks.
